I had the experience today to tune a customers Profec B Spec II boot controller for his 700BB turbos. There is only one word to describe these turbos..AMAZING. I tuned the car so that it hit and held 19psi. 1st gear as all of you already know you don't hit 19psi, but 2nd 3rd and 4th WOW. This car just has all the basic bolt ons with no internal motor work. The stock block has 45,000 original miles. I understand that no two cars are alike, but just for personal knowledge I have been in other Z's with HKS2530BB turbos and I have to say that the JWT 700BB turbos just pull harder. I was also in a TDO5-16g turbo equipped car, but I can't compare the two because the TDO5-16g had JWT cams. The only downfall to these turbos is that with stock manifolds they are a bit laggy (which was expected). I would love to see how they perform with Greg Dupree manifolds. Also, the car had nismo 740cc injectors and the HKS2530 car had nismo 555cc injectors. The TDO5-16g car had nismo 740cc injectors as well. Both the 700BB and greddy cars were using the JWT ECU untuned while the HKS2530 car was using the Z1 ECU untuned. I know the comparisons are pointless, this post was just for people who were trying to decided whether or not to purchasing these turbos. If you have the money, DO IT! JWT as always produced another great turbo.
